Scottish Lochside Weddings at Carrick Castle
I am very excited about photographing weddings at Carrick Castle Estate. The village of Carrick Castle, on Loch Goil, is one of my favourite places in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. While the setting feels (blissfully) remote, it is easy to get to, just a couple of hour’s drive from Glasgow.
I regularly visit this magnificent part of Argyll and have frequently worked here, capturing tourism photography for clients such as the National Park Authority and my See Loch Lomond website. I have also created several websites for many local companies and organisations through my marketing business. On one of my recent visits, I met with Hannah, who organises weddings for the lucky couples who choose to get married at Carrick Castle Estate.
Versatile Loch Side Wedding Venue
Hannah was kind enough to show me around the wonderful estate, complete with a beautiful lawn (see pictures below), the perfect spot for outdoor ceremonies thanks to its dramatic views. We also toured the rustic barn, a fantastic space for celebrations and an option if the weather isn’t ideal for an outside ceremony. Of course, each wedding is unique, and this venue acts as a blank canvas, allowing the couple a great deal of choice about their arrangements, just as it should be!
