Wedding Photography on Rainy Days

Here are some photographs of Hope and Olivier's wedding at the Lodge on Loch Lomond in Luss. I spend a lot of time at this venue and like photographing weddings here. 

What happens if it rains on my wedding day?

Couples can understandably be concerned about the possibility of rain, something that we're not immune from in Scotland! Here is an example of a wedding where it rained for much of a day, although, as you will see, there was lots of laughter, fun and emotion. So, the simple message is don't worry about the weather. 

It rarely rains all day, and when there was a pause in the showers, we made good use of it with a walk on the beach at the popular hotel in Luss. As a photographer, I have many indoor flash/lighting options, so don't worry; you will still get some memorable photographs. 

South Queensferry Engagement Photography Session

I'd been looking forward to this wedding, having spent some time with the couple at South Queensferry for an engagement photography session. We'd had great fun on the session, using the backdrop of the Forth Rail Bridge and other nearby settings.

I'd made up one of the images of that pre-wedding photography session into a signing board. The board was left out during their wedding reception for guests to sign the mount around the image; afterwards, the signed picture went into the frame I provided, giving Hope and Oliver a great memento of their wonderful day. 

Lodge on Loch Lomond, Luss

I've photographed many weddings in Loch Lomond and across Scotland, and it was good to be back at Lodge on Loch Lomond in Luss for this wonderful wedding.
